For founder Michael Herbert, Mineral Ridge isn't just where the business is located—it's home. Michael has lived in the area for decades, raising his family here and building lasting relationships throughout the community.
From Tool Truck to Tool Empire
Michael's journey in the tool industry began as a Mac Tools dealer, where he learned firsthand what professional technicians and tradespeople need from their tools every day. Building relationships one stop at a time, he earned a reputation for honesty, service, and product knowledge.
As his customer base grew, so did his vision.
Michael eventually launched his own independent mobile tool business, bringing quality tools directly to customers throughout the region. Through dedication, long hours, and a commitment to customer service, that business continued to expand.
Today, that same entrepreneurial spirit powers Ridge Toolbox and Herbert's Tool and Equipment, serving customers both in-store and online with an ever-growing selection of tools, equipment, outdoor power products, shop supplies, and professional-grade solutions that you will not find in the big box stores.
